      Hi all,

      Starting System -> Packages causes "Unable to retrieve package info from www.pfsense.com. Cached data will be used." message to be displayed.

      Installation of packages fails subsequently.

      No DNS issue, since ping <some internet="" host="">in webinterface runs OK.
      Any solutions?

        It seems that a reboot resolved the problem. I suspect a DNS issue caused the problem. I changed the DNS server info before staring package installation. Although ping from webinterface to <any internet="" host="">did then work, installing packages did not. After reboot all is OK.
