How would one go about checking if a new update is available via command line, just like how the WebUI checks for a new version?

Now this is not to install a new update, just to check if one is available.

The Updater checks the URL https://updates.pfsense.org/_updaters/version which is a file that contains the current version info.  Perhaps write a script that grabs it and compares it to your local version file in /etc/version.
