I came across the MikroTik crs125-24g-1s-2hnd-in and I'm wondering if we could do something similar.  Maybe not 24 ports, but maybe a bank of 8 or 12 ports that group together as a switch.  Obviously it would need more firepower than this model as a single 600mhz CPU isn't going to cut it in the real world, but I wonder how they manage to get in 24 gigabit ports at $200.  Even if we could add a bunch of ports are we able to bind them together into a single switch?

Hmmm.  Are we able to install pfSense onto MikroTik equipment?  Even if not this model they make some inexpensive stuff and it's all built on Linux.
