      Hey everyone,

I was using pfSense for a short while (catastrophic hardware failure put me on hiatus), but one thing was still getting at me: how do I have pfSense act as a winbind server? It does my DNS, which is nice, but I would very much like centralized winbind. I am aware that running samba is a bad idea for security (and bloat) reasons, so is there any other option (CLI is fine for me, I just want it to work).

      Thanks,
      -Tyler Szabo

I wanted to clarify, as I n00bed my terms (I'm a *NIX guy at heart, so I have an excuse for naming issues). I am looking to act as a WINS server as well as a DNS server, and am looking for help with that. I'm not trying to run a Windows domain, but rather control my naming more finely.
