Asked and answered a zillion times already here, in General and in WebGUI.

      1.  Clear your cache and reload with Ctrl-F5, or
      2.  Reduce your font size, or
      3.  Install the Widescreen patch

It is still broken. I use the Midori browser and Linux Mint for security reasons. It does not work fine!

              :D

So because it doesnt look like it should on all browsers and it happens to be a browser not supported by many.

Try on Firefox/IE/Safari/Opera or Chrome and report back.  I use windows and Firefox and havent had issues at all.

Cosmetics/looks is not the issue here. I'm unable to access the menu! I'm unable to log out! I don't care if it works on Firefox/IE/Safari/Opera because none of these are the browser of MY choise. It worked fine on Midori before the upgrade and I see no reason that it should not work now. It is a silly, unnecessary, poorly executed upgrade doing more harm than good.

So make your font smaller then, or add the widescreen patch.  Or do none of those workarounds fix your problem?

I'm also having this problem, so instead of creating a new thread I figured I'd ask here.

I'm using Google Chrome 37.0.2062.120 (Official Build 281580), Debian Linux (Sid) x64, Screen resolution: 1366x768, and connecting to pfsense 2.1.5-RELEASE.

As much as you say "There are multiple threads about this", there aren't any in the first two pages other than the "What do you think about the 'Gold' feature" which is a clusterfuck of people arguing and talking about things that aren't this problem.

Coming here from a Google search, that's not especially helpful.

Now, I've tried the advice you've given in this thread. I wanted to try a smaller font size in Chrome, but all that's available is zoom, which keeps things proportionate. I tried looking for the widescreen plugin, but it's not listed under "available packages" and a google search provides source code, but no actual instructions on installing the plugin.

                    Any suggestions?

Please don't swear here.  It doesn't add anything to the discussion.

Any issues with the interface are supported under the WebGUI forum.  Go to that forum and the eighth post down is titled 2.1.5 widescreen patch - multiple columns on dashboard

                      https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=81167.0

You will find instructions on how to apply it.

You could argue that the actual problem here is an underlying requirement to re-write the gui. That's a topic for another day.  ::)
Your problem is almost certainly that you're running a Linux based OS and you've installed some Miscrosoft fonts. They have have been included in your distro or been a added as a requirement of some other package you installed. The key is that with no MS fonts installed it displays fine. With all the MS fonts installed (including Tahoma) it displays fine. However if you have only the basic package(mscorefonts) it tries to use Verdana which doesn't fit.
                        See: https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=81049.msg443393#msg443393

Either remove all MS fonts or install Tahoma.

                        Steve
