      I cannot perform a backup of the config and cannot perform a firmware update from the webgui.

      How should I proceed in updating this box without losing everything?

      Thanks!

        Why can't you backup or restore?

          @kejianshi:

          It just says the page cannot be reached.

          I see the backups in the /cf/conf/backup/ folder. How can I copy it to a folder that can be reached via my web browser such as http://pfsense/config.xml ?

            If I were you, I would set my HTTP/HTTPS setting.  Depending…

            Can you reach any page at all with the pfsense web GUI?

              Yes only the two pages I listed above will not work.

                Changing from https to http fixed the problem!

                  Thats good to know.

                  You running a proxy on that?  Squid or anything?

                  I'm just trying to imagine what might have caused the issue to begin with.

                  Two things come to mind.  squid proxy or port forwarding on port 80.

                    Nope, just openvpn and multiple nics. 1 wan, 2 lan.

                    I've just updated the firmware to latest today and all seems to be good.

                      Strange - Let put that in the "not broken" category then (-:
