      Clean install RC4, 733Mhz, 512MB, 80GB HD, Abit SE6, GB NIC x2, 10/100 x2
With just the GB NICs doing WAN and LAN only, the other deactivated.

The router runs fine for as long as a day or day in a half….then on the console it'll suddenly say "Bad PTE XXXXXXX". the X's being letters and numbers, different everytime. "Rebooting in 15 Seconds..." After it reboots it's ok again for another day or so...

Anyone know what "BAD PTE" is?

I've tried swaping out the memory, changed HDs, reinstalled...only thing I haven't tried is to go back to RC3... But figured I'd ask ya'll before doing so...

Also wanted to know where the change logs are...? I can't find them on the site or forums...

      Thanks!

WoW…42 lookers.... but no takers... to what a BAD PTE would be about....

I also guess there is no change log that just lists the changes from version to version... I know about the CVS change log but that's way to detailed... don't need to know what changes to the code were, just need to know what features were added/removed/improved....

        Thanks for lookin...

I tried a googlesearch and everything I find is that this is indicating a hardware problem of some sort. CPU or RAM mostly.

Try setting your harddisk in PIO4 mode if you still recive this message check your RAM.

There might be an edge case where might need to change the allocated memory to kernel vs. user base. What version of pfSense is this?
