Any chance at getting ermal's apinger fixes in what looks to be 2.1.6?

        There most likely won't be a 2.1.6.

If there is, they may come in, but so far nothing has been big enough to warrant another release yet.

For what its worth, gateway crashing and CARP IS a major issue…. IMHO

So if no plans to have new apinger in 2.1.x, is it safe to replace current apinger with the new one in 2.2 or they are totally different?

I´m having a lot of troubles with the false positives of lost connectivity.

That is highly unlikely to work as they are compiled for very different versions of FreeBSD.

In theory someone could compile apinger on a builder made to create pfSense 2.1.x images (FreeBSD 8.3 base) and then copy that over, but we have not tested that.
