Few questions "Gaming and disk Cloning"
-
hello im really new to this, but i was able to set up dual wan pfsense server with traffic shaping for gaming.
my installation is 2.7 dualcore, 250gb and 2GB RAM, i dont think i need more because i have like 6-15 computers.
i would like to be able to restore all the computers like one time in a month via LAN, and i know i would be able to do it setting a clonezilla server, but i would like to know if theres a way to set it up with pfsense (i have looked for it on the forum but i only find things like cloning the pfsense server HDD).
and i have another question that you may be able to help me with… i have 2 internet connections one is from a cable company(10Mbts) and the other is from the phone company(6Mbts)(the modems that the phone company are ****, so i changed it for a bridge modem and pfsense configured for PPPoE).
there are times when there is no computer being used and when someone play a game like league of legends they get a bit of lag or delay, but im not able to find the problem, but there has been an idea on my mind that it may be the internet service is from 2 different companies or service, any ideas of what it can be?
im sorry if i dont explain really well but im a bit new with this, and i would like to learn more, thank you for any help :D

No, it's best to not try to add other functions to your firewall unless directly related to firewall functions (logging, IDS, cacheing, etc). Client disk cloning and restoration will be enough work anyway, so set up a separate clonezilla server machine on your LAN.

Sorry, I have no gaming experience. Take a look through and search the dedicated pfsense gaming forum; there is a lot of experience there.
