      Hi,

What is the quickest way to switch on and off the WIFI interface without having to login, go to the WIFI menu interface, click, validate, etc ?
My WIFI antenna has a strong signal and it's close to my face…

Same question with OpenVPN, what is the quickest way to enable/disable a client?

Same question with "Advanced Outbound NAT entry", enable/disable a rule?

      Thanks!

You could do those things with a script via the developer php shell.

Are you worried about rf field strength near your head? What wifi nic are you using?

          Hi,

Would those scripts be able to include the login/password?
I mean, only one click = WIFI off, another click = WIFI on ?

Has anyone developped such tools that could really be useful? (I'm not a programmer)

My NIC wifi level is -32dBm, I'm using AzureWave Technologies, Inc AR5B95 half Mini PCI-E Card 802.11B/G/N

          Thanks!

You probably could reduce it to one click. I'm not a programmer either though. There was a script posted to automatically retrieve the config file and back it up locally. I would imagine that would give you something to work with.

It is RF fields that cause you to want to turn off your wifi though rather than for security for example?

Hmm, not quite sure what to suggest here. A directional antenna perhaps? An external access point would almost certainly be easier.
I'm tempted to suggest a tinfoil hat.  :P
