Which is the correct path?
The Check_MK v0.1.1 Package looks like it uses /etc/inetd.conf, but potentially causes issues with NAT Reflection (http://lists.pfsense.org/pipermail/list/2013-November/005154.html).
On the other hand, pfSense > 2.0 uses /var/etc/inetd.conf? (https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=32911.msg189222#msg189222)

Nothing should use /etc/inetd.conf, that's a read-only location on embedded versions where /var/ isn't. But nothing outside the base system should touch /var/etc/inetd.conf as there's a good chance it would break the things in the base system that use it (reflection and TFTP proxy). If you're looking to fix check_mk, probably having its own copy of inetd running with its own separate inetd.conf in /var/etc would be best.
