    2.2-BETA (amd64)
built on Thu Nov 20 00:23:34 CST 2014
    FreeBSD 10.1-RELEASE

DynamicDNS, Add new a dynamicDNS rule selecting Custom on this page https://pfsense.domain/services_dyndns_edit.php and it throws a message sayinig invalid host.

Previous 2.1 customs worked just fine, and the migration to 2.2 still has the custom rules working fine ie updating the dynamic dns service until you attempt to edit and save.

In my example I just paste a specially formatted URL into the Update URL field, everything else is just default eg.

    Service Type: Custom
    Interface To Monitor: WAN
Interface To Send update from: Wan
    Verbose Logging: unticked
    CURL Options: All unticked
    Username: left blank
    Password: left blank
Update URL: My specially formatted URL complete with username and password and other options is entered here.
    Result Match: left blank
    Description: left blank

    Error message is:
    The Hostname contains invalid characters.

    Update URL example:
    https://www.mydnsservice.com/dynservice?username=7349509374cn7x4G&password=jhkkdsjfu77dfh3d3&hostname=www.mydomain.com&myip=%IP%&wildcard=%IP%&mx=%IP%&backmx=NOCHG
