Starting external script form updown is causing connection failures

Hi,

I'm trying to start an external python script whenever a new connection is made to my vpn server.

I am able to run my own custom updown script but whenever I launch my external python script the connection fails.

My python script starts a packet logger to do some statistical analysis.

The failure I am generally seeing is:
charon: 04[MGR] ignoring request with ID 0, already processing

Also the software gets very slow.

Any help is much appreciated.
