      Alix 2D13 CF card nanoBSD
      2.2-BETA (i386)
built on Thu Nov 27 14:02:50 CST 2014
      FreeBSD 10.1-RELEASE

I have a GIF defined to HE.net but at the moment it has no interface assigned. I get this error in the system log on boot:

Nov 28 09:30:45 php: rc.bootup: The command '/sbin/ifconfig gif0 tunnel '216.228.221.42'' returned exit code '1', the output was 'ifconfig: 'tunnel' requires 2 arguments'

Then I assigned an interface, but not enabled, rebooted, same error message.

Now I have enabled the interface (OPT9) and rebooted again. Error message now appears twice:

      Nov 28 10:23:24 kernel: tun2: changing name to 'ovpnc2'
      Nov 28 10:23:23 kernel: tun1: changing name to 'ovpnc1'
      Nov 28 10:23:23 kernel:
Nov 28 10:23:23 php: rc.bootup: Resyncing OpenVPN instances.
      Nov 28 10:23:23 kernel: done.
Nov 28 10:23:23 php: rc.bootup: The command '/sbin/ifconfig gif0 tunnel '216.228.221.42'' returned exit code '1', the output was 'ifconfig: 'tunnel' requires 2 arguments'

Nov 28 10:23:18 kernel: vr2: link state changed to UP
      Nov 28 10:23:18 check_reload_status: Linkup starting vr2
Nov 28 10:23:15 kernel: vr2: link state changed to DOWN
      Nov 28 10:23:15 check_reload_status: Linkup starting vr2

Sorry, I don't have any real IPv6 configured at the moment, so I can't really see if the HE.net tunnel really works.
Is this a real problem, or just my config settings somewhere?

As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle."
