      Hi,

I just want to share my experience from yesterday.
There was a blackout in my house yesterday for about 1 hour.
When the power came back i started my pfsense and heard the familiar beeping sound, i thought everything was good.
But i couldnt get access to internet, and i didnt get a IP to my computer. I couldnt SSH my pfsense or access it from the internet (mobile phone and webgui).

I connected my other monitor to the machine and was greeted with this error message: "PHP Fatal error:  PHP Startup: apc_fcntl_create: open(/tmp/"
      Then I rebooted (power button).
When it started the whole startup was full with this error message: "PHP Fatal error:  PHP Startup: apc_fcntl_create: open(/tmp/" and other messages (dont got them).

Full panic mode was on now :P

I got my backup router a asus n56u and started googling, the forum topics i got told me that my hdd was failing. So i tried to get my backup out of the disk.
Tried to mount a usb-stick but was told the system was in read-only mode, tried to make it read-write but when i did this i got the error message AGAIN :)
I looked in /tmp/ folder and notices it was full of .png files with rrd-grahps. Tried to delete them but couldnt since it was read only….sigh...

Got back to menu and tried to reboot, got the error message again. Tried to start factor default installation but error message again. Now i've had given up hope but then i pressed the power button and shut it down and started it. During the startup I noticed a menu where i could choose safe mode, so i did that and now the magic happend. It took about 10-15 min before I got the normal menu where i can assign interfaces etc. I looked in tmp folder and no more png-files I rebooted from gui again and no error messages YEEY.

      Now the machine works again.

      Wtf was that..
