      Hello everyone:

I decided to wipe the hard drive that I upgraded from pfSense 2.1.5 to the 2.2 Beta and I installed the 2.2 Beta via my flash drive; I cannot give any NIC, except for the WAN card an IP address for my laptop to connect to.

Whenever I enter an IP address, I didn't see a question asking me if I want to switch to the HTTP protocol for the WebConfiguration; and I never saw Disabling DHCPD… Done or another one such as starting DHCPD... done.

The only way I can resolve this issue is by re-installing pfSense 2.1.5 and then install the 2.2 beta.

Also, I cannot connect to the WebConfiguration with the WAN IP address that is connected to my router temporarily speaking.  How do I go about fixing this?

Edit: I disconnected the WAN and rebooted the firewall; configured the IP address in the WebConfigure page.

I also noticed this today, using "2.2-BETA (amd64) built on Thu Dec 04 08:10:36 CST 2014". On a fresh install, I'm unable to change the IP address on the LAN interface. It behaves like the topic owner describes.
