Dell Poweredge R220 problem installing pfsense
-
First of all, hi to everyone.
I have problems installing pfSense-LiveCD-2.1.5-RELEASE-amd64.iso on a DELL Poweredge R220, the installation always stops/hangs at 38% at /usr/local/bin/cpdup -vvv -l -o /usr/mnt.
I wish to use this DELL PER220 only for networking.
This PER220 has :
Intel Xeon procesor E3-1241v3 3.5GHz / 8MB Smart Cache / 4 Cores / 3.9GHz Turbo
8GB (1x8GB) 1600MHz Dual Rank DDR3 LV UDIMM
PERC H310 SAS/SATA 6.0Gb/s RAID controller (RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10)
2x 1TB SATA 3.5" - RAID 1 installedI did a number of things, advised on this topic disable/enable vt, disable/enable nic's, c-state off, non of which resulted with a succesful installation.
And i will do this today https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=74316.msg417351#msg417351.
Could you please help me with this?
Thanks. -
I would try the 2.2-BETA - http://snapshots.pfsense.org/
It uses FreeBSD 10.1 and a whole bunch of different/newer stuff, so here's hoping the "38%" installation issue no longer happens.
As far as I have been trying stuff, the latest 2.2-BETA (and what is expected to be a 2.2-RC real soon now) is good to go.
