Installed RC 2.2 on an AMD box and the thermal sensor is reporting a temperature of 2.8 C and after 10 minutes it drops to 0.8 C.  Running an AMD Fx-4300.

You might try adjusting the System > Advanced > Miscellaneous tab setting related to thermal sensors. While the AMD option specifically mentions K8, K10, and K11 CPUs, it's possible that it might still work for your system. For example, I have an Intel Celeron-based CPU in my pfSense box, but the Intel Core CPU setting works just fine for me, giving me temperatures for each of the cores in my CPU.

The amdtemp kernel module in FreeBSD 10.1 has support for k8 - k15 (https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=amdtemp%284%29&sektion=). Some users are reporting that they need to add some temperature adjustments to the numbers.
