Vnstat2 fails with error

Installed vnstat2 1.11_6,2 on 2.2-RC built on Mon Dec 22 10:10:34 CST 2014. I let it gather stats for an hour.

Vnstati shows 4 blank image placeholders.

PHP Frontend shows 0 for all counters

Vnstat Info returns:

Error: Unable to open database directory "/var/lib/vnstat".
Make sure it exists and is at least read enabled for current user.
Exiting…

There is no such directory /var/lib, so /var/lib/vnstat is asking for the moon and the stars.

Vnstat Summary gives the same error as Vnstat Info.

Even if it not solve the issue with the package, you can fix it using those steps:
