      Hi,

I have 255 VLAN interfaces on my system joined together into bridge0.

I need to be able to determine which VLAN a client is connecting from, so I'd like to use arp.

For example, if a client connects through VLAN8 and receives the IP 10.0.1.3 from the DHCP server, arp 10.0.1.3 responds with

      ? (10.0.1.2) at xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx on bridge0 expires in 1013 seconds [bridge]

I need it to show em1_vlan8 as the interface instead of bridge0.

Is this possible? Is there any other way to find out which member interface the client is connecting through? Any way to see the vlan tag on the packet?

        Ok, figured it out.

        ifconfig bridge0 addr

        responds with the vlan tag
