      Hi All,

      I am currently on Beta2.

I have setup Dual Wan and 1 Lan and when I simulate  a failed router (power down) on Wan, the OPT does not resolve names and IP's and cannot display page.

My setup is using Static IP's on both Wan and Opt interfaces and Routers in front doing the authentication with Static IP's. Both accounts are 1.5/256 as Load Balancing. (These do not aggregate, just case of mistaken conception)

Will DNS Forwarder solve this problem by using the ISP's DNS info?

Which is better to use a DNS Forwarder or Dynamic DNS Client (Static) (using Round Robin)?

I am not hosting any servers, but my LAN accesses both or either router simultaneously. I am using the same ISP for both accounts so the DNS info can be the same path.

My ISP have posted info on how to manually configure the DNS setting for FreeBSD by editing the /etc/resolv.conf file and putting in their info. Will this help my problem of not being able to resolve names to IP's when I make either router fail?

When I have this DNS issue solved I will be making a turtorial on configuring Dual Wan Load Balance and DNS Solution.

When it comes to a DNS hosts, I am a bit confused as they all talk about DNS hosting for servers, which I dont have, and I am not sure if its going to assist me in my quest.

What is the best solution for my setup, DSN Forwarder or Dynamic DNS Client?

      Kindest regards

At system>general enter a DNS-Server sitting at WAN and one sitting at OPT-WAN. Then add a static route for the OPT-WAN-DNS/32 pointing to the OPT-WAN gateway. This way the DNS-forwarder will find the DNS-Server at OPT-WAN.
