      Hi there,

I have setup squid 3 on Pfense 2.1.5 in transparent mode. As soon as the proxyy is enabled on the LAN interface, the downloads speeds is falling by more than 50% (I have a 250/45 Mb/s fiber connection) and my CPU ressources are rising at more than 100%.
The Pfsense box is a virtual machine setup on a Proxmox box. The VM itself has 2 cores and 1,3 Go RAM. I have 128 Mb of RAM for the cache and 2 GB for disk space.
All others settings remain with their default values. My Pfsense setup : 3 intefaces : 1 WAN, 1 LAN, 1 DMZ + openvpn server. I have also modified this loader.conf option : kern.ipc.nmbclusters="32768" with no change.

I really need to have a good setup as I need to filter the Web traffic with SquidGuard (not installed yet).

Can anyone help me please ?
