      Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a package that gives me just a simple daily and montly traffic usage graph.

It does not must give me traffic per ip, but would be nice too.

It should be simple because I'm kinda new to PfSense.

      Thanks for any advice.

Did you tried bandwidthd or ntopng?

          Not yet.

I installed BandwithD now, selected my Interface and enabled it.

Now it always says: "Please start bandwidthd to populate this directory." But it is running under the services menu.

Do I need to configure something more?

Just wait for a while and then check the Access Bandwidthd tab.

              Hello everyone,

it still shows me "Please start bandwidthd to populate this directory. " when I try to click on "access BandwithD"

If I edit the Config, it shows me this in the Log "Jan 19 15:33:11 php: /pkg_edit.php: The command '/usr/local/etc/rc.d/bandwidthd.sh stop' returned exit code '1', the output was 'No matching processes were found'"

              I already restarted PfSense.

I'm using a VLAN Interface, is that the problem?

I appreciate every help so far!

Nothing more to do other than selecting the interface.  Anything else in your System log?

                  Hey KOM,

i reverted to a backup before I installed BandwithD, and waited 2 days and now it works fine. :)

                  Thanks for your help!

                  Just another question.

Is it better to put the tracking to the VLAN or the WAN Interface?

That depend on what it is you're trying to measure.  Total bandwidth in/out would require WAN if you have multiple vLANs.  If you have just the one vLAN and no others then I suspect it doesn't make any difference.  It's just adding up all bytes going in/out of the specified interface.
