Router not hidden and rule setting

  • I'd like the router to not show its presence, but I keep getting 504 when I put my WAN IP into a browser, instead of 404. I don't want the connection to time out, I don't want there to be a connection in the first place.

Is this something I can fix?

    Am I misunderstanding something?

Oh, and what is the difference between WAN net and WAN IP when rule setting?

    Cheers

  • What is the 504 coming from? It's not from the firewall itself. If you're doing it on a cell network or other network where there is a proxy, that's the proxy timeout message you'd get when nothing is answering.

WAN net == WAN's IP subnet. WAN IP == WAN's IP.
