System has crashed?

I'm looking for some pointers…trying to decide what the best approach is to take.
I came home this morning and my entire network is down. I've rebooted everything, but it still won't come up. All my devices are self assigning themselves crazy IP's (desktop computers are all I can really see). My wireless network(s) are showing as not available/out of range (I use Ubiquiti Unifi AP's). Everything connects to a big 48 port dell switch.
I have a fairly simple setup. About 45 DHCP reservations, an IPSEC VPN, a few VLAN's, SQUID recording web logs, etc... Enough that it will be a huge PITA for me to reconfigure if I have to, but I'll get over that.
I just mostly don't know where to start in trying to get it back online. PFSense is installed on a rack mounted SuperMicro 1U PC with a small SSD. Physically it looks fine. Lights are on, etc... I did try assigning one desktop PC a static IP that is within the range it assigns devices, and set the proper gateway...I still can't access the PFSense box via the Web GUI. I also tried taking everything off the network with the exception of one desktop and it still made no difference.
I bought this with PFSense already installed, and am not familiar with SSH or CLI. I have followed detailed instructions to use both in the past, but need detailed step by step instructions to do it.
Everything was working when I left last night. The problem is that I have a huge Control4 system that controls all the lighting, A/V, etc... and none of that is working why the system is down. My kids can't watch TV, most the light switches (all the keypads and 3 way switches) don't work...it's a huge inconvenience for my family. Any pointers on how I can get it up and running again?

"assigning themselves crazy IP's"
So like 169.254.x.x ? Those are APIPA, so dhcp client that does not get answer from dhcp will give itself that.
If you can not access pfsense? Do you have a monitor connected to it.. Did it come up? When you assigned a static IP, could you even ping pfsense IP?

Yeah, the IP address was 169.254.x.x. That's exactly what it was.
I don't have a monitor connected to it, but I'm going to do that this afternoon. When I assigned the computer a static IP I tried accessing the WebGUI via the PFSense IP (192.168.1.1) and it wasn't able to pull up anything. I tried in chrome. The little icon that appears next to the webname in the browser tab pulled up, but that's it.

Maybe your DHCP server is to blame and not pfSense.
Since the static IP does not allow you access this could mean that the pfSense box is configured to only allow access to a specific IP?

PFSense IS my DHCP server.

The HDD (CF Card) failed. What a pain, but back up and running. Took the opportunity to increase the memory.
