After invoking auto-upgrade, IPSEC tunnel wouldn't come back up. Changed negotiation settings from aggressive mode to main mode and tunnel synced up. I'm happy to attempt to reproduce and log if the pfsense team so desires. The other endpoint is a Sonicwall.

Did you change the Sonicwall too or is its config still the same?

Logs from both ends would be good to see.
