One of my gateways is a VPN connection which provides a non-routable IP address. So, pfSense automatically wants to use the non-routable gateway address that it gets, and not the public address that the VPN connection is originating from. The public address of the VPN server is a hostname which resolves to several IPs. However, it doesn't appear that the alternate gateway IP monitor option will allow me to put in a hostname. Is there a workaround for this, is this a bug, or is this intended functionality?
