just purchased Transced mSATA 16G for soekris 6501 ( previously was using standard SSD)
But it is not being detected
Read somewhere the need to remve a resistor but that was something in 2011
Can someone please guide me how to get the the mSATA get detected?
Any guidance will be much appreciated
      Thanks

Is it detected in the BIOS? Is it in the correct slot? (Are theyes both mSATA compatible?)

            Yikes.  :(
That certainly looks likely. You any good with a soldering iron? Do you have a meter to measure the value of that resistor?
Though 3+ years on you'd hope Transcend might have fixed that. Is it old stock?

I don't know that they still make 16GB mSATA SSDs.  They're probably all "old stock".

I've never had an issue with Intel mSATA cards.  Then again, you get what you pay for.
