Pfsense 2.2 no re2 interface on APU1d4
-
I installed current 64-bit version of Pfsense 2.2 on mSATA SSD. The installation worked well.
I saw that interfaces re0 and re1 are available. re2 isn't in list of interfaces. The boot process doesn't attach the port re2. see:
re2:Using 1 MSI-X message
re2: ASPM disabled
re2: Chip rev. 0x80000000
re2: MAC rev. 0x00000000
re2: Unknown H/W revision: 0x80000000
device_attach: re2 attach returned 6I don't know if it's a problem of FreeBSD or of PC Engines APU bios.

Had you been running an earlier pfSense version previously?
It seems unlikely they would have different chip revisions but I guess not impossible. :-\Steve
Edit: Seems like this might be resolved by a bios update:

What bios are you running? -
You might also want to check the pcengines forum. I seem to recall I have seen some issues with missing smd coil on one of the interfaces, rendering it non-functional.
If you need that port, and the bios update recommended by Steve does not help, you might have to claim warranty…edit: found the topic again : http://www.pcengines.info/forums/?page=post&id=7DA1FA61-80A9-427E-BE14-0196B18F82AD&fid=DF5ACB70-99C4-4C61-AFA6-4C0E0DB05B2A
