Log file for Cron

Hi!

Found the cron service not running and wanted to have a look why, but found no log-file under /var/log or etc/cron.

Any help where to look? Or did it create no log-file because failing to start at least reboot (1-2 days ago, after snort didn't want ro restart on all interfaces configured)….
