My order from the web store arrived and was delivered to reception at work.

Receptionist - "What on earth are you building???"

      Me - "Huh? A firewall."

      Receptionist - "For SHEEP???"

Me - Blank stare…. penny drops... huge grin.

      It made my day.

pfSense AMD64 VGA - Assume latest version.
      Suricata, pfBlockerNG, SquidGuard, squid3.

        Hahaha. :)

Maybe she is just a forward thinker. With the Internet of Things proliferating, I am sure that farmers will begin internetworking their animals, if they have not already. Sheep need prtotection from hackers too. :P

Please correct any obvious misinformation in my posts.

Really.  Just read it.  It completes the joke (and I only found it after we had renamed BSDP to ESF.)

Makes me wonder if they sell gateways for NET traversal as well.  :)

First link likely describes Cisco's VDSL "broadband building" play.  At Wayport, we engineered something similar via the "Everywire" offering,
which I occasionally demoed running Ethernet over a 3" gap.
