Maybe she is just a forward thinker. With the Internet of Things proliferating, I am sure that farmers will begin internetworking their animals, if they have not already. Sheep need prtotection from hackers too. :P

First link likely describes Cisco's VDSL "broadband building" play. At Wayport, we engineered something similar via the "Everywire" offering,
which I occasionally demoed running Ethernet over a 3" gap. -
