    Hi I am new in pfsense. Our company is using pfsense, I just want to know how to verify if proxy is running?

      Add some forbidden url like "isitworking.com" in your squid configuration and try to surf there. You should see the proxy reject page if all is ok.

        just an opinion : if you don't have yet a compleate monitoring solution, you can use nagios, you can find freebsd plugins.Or GroundWorkOpensource (like this you can define checks for all you need  ;))

        pfsense 2.3.4 on Supermicro A1SRi-2758F + 8GB ECC + SSD
