We have a host (with a pfsense box) connected to our LAN (With another pfsense box with an interface) via a bridge. The bridge is two seperate backhaul links, one of which has high bandwidth but is unstable, the other has low bandwidth but is stable. The unstable link will fail intermidently for less than a second then return to normal operation. This is breaking our clients applications, but is too fast to catch using Level 3 rules. If we aggregate the links can LACP handle failover that occures that quickly?

lacp would only failover when a link goes DOWN (ie you unplug/cut a cable).
it would never failover if, for some reason, you can not ping google anymore.
