      All Things Risers

I started this thread to show different riser possibilities.

I started this mostly in inspiration from the ADI Engineering's chassis choice for thier RCC board.
The IstarUSA S-21 (One of various OEM sellers of this chassis)
      http://www.adiengineering.com/products/rcc

I have used this case in 3 different embedded builds and its a good choice for full sized cards.

      Problem is lack of risers.
There are several very close risers from Casetronics but neither fits perfect.

      C292

I have a Supermicro riser on the way and i hope it works for breaking 2 x8-pciE lanes from 1 x16 slot in this chassis. Has anyone tried this riser? Is it generic or Supermicro only?

Please share all things risers and low profile builds.

And I wonder if ADI has a riser recommendation for this chassis…

Thank You. I fixed the link. Is for an Supermicro-RSC-R2UT-2E8R. Bought mine at Tiger.
Wonder what the 6 pin power connector is about….Obviously aux power for slot. I am trying to find pictures for wire colors.. These go to rackmount 2u twins...
Thinking of using an Mikrotik Rb14eu(quad mini-pci-e) and my quad ethernet adapter on riser on a Supermicro X9SCV i have. It should give me room to mount RB14eu in upper part of the Shield -like the Jetways do. Full height quad ethernet on top riser spot in the proper slot area..
Product is enroute so we will see...Maybe 50 bucks wasted...Its not an UIO riser. Says passive but i see chips..

Hmmm… if you want passive - looked at some of the flex risers (someone linked those on eBay in some of those DYI Firefox threads, some SATA HDD mod or what it was.)
