I have to evaluate a product for my IT course and I chose pfSense.
One of the tasks is to survey users of pfSense so if some of you

Your last question is a bit specious..

you ask "friend or colleague" but only allow one context for the answer ;D

in my case:
friend = 0
colleague = 10

I have friends whose VCRs in the 80s never had the right time
I have colleagues who could really (and a few do) use pfSense
