      pfSense 2.2.1 (amd)
      Dansguardian  2.12.0.2_2_pkg v0.1.12
      Rather than go into detail about some issues I am having with dansguardian I have a simple query. I notice that in /usr/pbi/dansguardian-amd64/etc/dansguardian:
      dansguardian.conf
      dansguardianf1.conf

      get rebuilt on a restart. From where do they get rebuilt?

        A lot of pfSense is dynamically generated at boot time by with the actual config held in XML files.  This is why you generally shouldn't edit config files by hand – they will be overwritten at next boot.  To answer your question, sorry, I have no idea where the DG config is built from.
