      Hi,

I am a new happy owner of this product, and is just testing performance with iPerf, and want to know other peoples results.

      My setup:
      Image: pfSense-memstick-ADI-2.2.2-DEVELOPMENT-amd64-20150410-1409
      PowerD: Adaptive
      Iperf: iperf.exe -c 192.168.13.169 -i 5 -P 5 -w 64K -l 1M -t 900

I get approx 465Mbps, a CPU load of 100% and core temp at 46 Celcius.

Is it possible to tune the box and get more power out of it? (I was hopeing to reach 1Gbps)

      Thanks

Go to System>Advanced, Misc tab, and check "Use PowerD" there. Future systems ship with that enabled by default. The CPU won't scale to full speed otherwise.

With PowerD enabled you will get something around 700 - 800 MBit/s I think.

Try setting powerd to 'hiadaptive'. Monitor what CPU speed it's running at.
Are you testing with iperf running on the pfSense box or through it?

              Steve

For sure you should be using the iPerf from one PC to another PC or server inside your LAN
and not direct on the pfSense itself.

                  Update:

Setting PowerD to: High-adaptive and using iperf from pc to pc, i get approx 650-700mpbs
