Why is the feature schduled to be added to the GUI?

I found a old post about the problem (WITH a workaround) -> http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,1225.0.html

My problem is that the GUI doesnt allow me to create CARPs on niether "proxy arp" nor "other" VIPs, and aliases added with the work behind the GUI isnt known by the GUI, so the CARP cant be created by the GUI.

I can create my 2nd carp device (for my 2nd subnet) just fine behind the GUI like this ->
      ifconfig em1 inet 192.168.0.2/24 add
      ifconfig carp1 create
      ifconfig carp1 vhid 2 pass my_pass advskew 10 192.168.0.1/24

Anyway, what the ETA of ifconfig aliases as VIPs in the GUI?

    ./Thomas
