I am going to be restoring my current pfSense to new hardware and had a couple questions about the process.

I have a few packages running on my pfSense that I want to continue running on the new hardware, do I need to install those packages on the new hardware before I restore?

Will the data from the packages be restored (assuming I do a full backup/restore)?

I have a few packages that I am currently running but don't want to run on the new hardware, should I uninstall them from the existing hardware before doing the backup?

Bear in mind that some packages seem to make the transition better than others.
