I have TWC and request a /56.  I static IP my 3 lan subnets with /64s I take out of the /56.  It seems it just stopped working and my lan blocks cant route out to the internet.  When I do a packet capture I no longer see the option to ask for a /56 in the DHCP request.

What is the story with 2.2.2?  I am reading some that this was changed?  How do I get the PFSense to start asking for the /56 again?

What options do you have configured for "DHCP6 client configuration" on that WAN interface?

Most likely you need to switch to advance DHCPv6 config. See this post for details: https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=90699.msg502875#msg502875
