      Hi guys,
I have a setup in pfsense that is working well (thanks to lots of help from you guys previously).

      It is as follows:

      OPT1 - 192.168.1.1/24

I then have a public network - 25.100.23.56/28 (its not the real address for security reasons)
So as I understand it, 25.100.23.56 is the network and unusable. 25.100.23.71 would be the broadcast address, also unusable.

I am setting this up as a VIP but I am not sure on the correct annotation.
      Should I write 25.100.23.56/28, or 25.100.23.57/28 ?

once I set up outbound NAT using that VIP, that address part of that annotation becomes the outbound public IP so I assume I should be using the second of the two annotations (25.100.23.57/28) otherwise the outbound IP would be the network address, which shouldnt be used as I understand it?

      Thanks

      Dave
      Thanks

The netmask sometimes depends on the type of VIP.
