      Hello.  Im a newbie to pfsense and have been doing a ton of reading into the issue I was having.  Below is my setup:

      SM X10SLV-Q
      i3-4160
      8gb Crucial memory
      30gb Intel msata

      When installing 2.2.2 via USB we would get the blue screen and it would get stuck in "waiting for backend" message.  We disable various setting in the bios with the same outcome.  We tried the same with version 2.2.1 with the same outcome.  It wasn't till we switched from AHCI to IDE that we were able to complete the install.

      Any thoughts?  How will pfsense differ when configure AHCI vs IDE?
