      Hi,

      How can i configure the pfsense to use a outbound proxy to access the internet?

      I've one proxy server in the network, and i need config the pfsense to use that proxy. I tried config the proxy address at "System -> Advanced -> Miscellaneous. But not worked.

      What can i try?

        Try to describe "not worked" in the first place.

          @doktornotor:

          Try to describe "not worked" in the first place.

          When i use the shell option, and ping to any address or domain, i receive answer. When i use the web interface, and do diagnostic tests, i also receive answer.

          However, when i try to add packages, i receive the message: "Unable to communicate with https://packages.pfsense.org. Please verify DNS and interface configuration, and that pfSense has functional Internet connectivity."

          Because the tests (ping/DNS) don't use proxy, only the application layer doesn't work, ie, I've connectivity.

            How are you specifying the proxy URL?

              @KOM:

              How are you specifying the proxy URL?

              I config the proxy address at "System -> Advanced -> Miscellaneous. In the proxy field i tried the IP address and URL, but don't worked.

              Example:

              Proxy: 172.17.92.253 or http://172.17.92.253
              Port: 2000
              User: test
              Pass: 1234

                OK I was just checking that you had specified the prefix.
