      Hi,
I'm a newbie and using pfsense 2.2.2. I need to monitor hosts' bandwidth usage, protocols and etc. (like ntop-ng) within the network environment. But i also need pfsense to notify me or log alerts when some host is using let's say 40% of the bandwidth. Is there any solution for this scenario?

There are no packages that would notify on bandwidth usage.

For that you could install softflowd and export flow data to some other Netflow server which could collect and manage that sort of thing (reporting). That would be a function of the monitoring server, however, not the firewall.

Well, i have tried solarwinds netflow analyzer and manageengine netflow analyzer but couldn't be able to analyze packets with both of them. Can you recommend me some servers or server utilities to do that?

tcpdumped the pfsense to make sure whether its sending netflow or snmp packages but it does not.  Below are my conf pages. i m using manageengine's netflow analyzer and analyzer says no device is exporting netflow packages. How can i make pfsense export packages?

Well that is the snmp tab you need to install softflowd and configure it
