      For years I am using FreeBSD or OpenBSD as gateways/routers.
      I wanted to try a fast way to set a gateway box and I found about pfsense.
      The box is an Intel 82810 chipsets with Pentium III, so a PATA system.
      It has been running FreeBSD 10.0 and now 10.1, with my homebrew pf.conf dhcpd.conf dnsmasq.conf.
      I back up the installed FreeBSD and boot the pfSense USB installer.

      Installer fails when formatting the disk.
      Spits error about missing /sbin/atacontrol (!):  there's no atacontrol in FreeBSD 10.1, but /sbin/camcontrol
      Complains about inappropriate C/H/S geometry of the harddisk. Funny, because on the disk, there's still FreeBSD 10.1

      So I installed by dumping from a raw converted small virtual vdi disk (out of an initial virtualbox test installation) through a live FreeBSD.

      I have downloaded the sources of pfSense but I'm short of time to have a look, so the work around was faster.

      Btw, the installer offers also the choice of changing keymap, screen fonts, but /usr/share/syscons is empty. So after installation I pulled the missing files from FreeBSD-10.1 base.txz and put them in place.

      v. 2.2.2 is half-baked
