I manage a fleet of ~200 pfsense firewalls. Currently we do not have a standard SOE or update process for our firewalls, they are all on various versions between 2.1 and 2.2.
What i am looking to do is the following:

      • stand up a source control repo which contains our approved image and point the auto update URL in each pfsense to point to that repo instead of the default url

      • invoke a scripted auto-update from our scripting engine

Is anybody else doing anything like this with their pfsense updates?

I have found the depreciated commands to do this Here,  and it looks feasible to set up a repo in the same format as https://updates.pfsense.org, but i guess what i am asking, is anybody else doing scripted, source controlled updates and how are they doing them.

      Thanks, Rexxhunt.
