      Ntopng is in version 2.0 released!
      Who is the ntopng maintainer for the pfsense package repository?

        It needs to make it into the FreeBSD ports tree first. That doesn't appear to have happened yet:

            I see a few days ago the port was marked 'deprecated' since it has been failing to build for >6 months, and is now set to EXPIRE on 2/29/16 …

            not sure what happens exactly when it 'expires' but doesn't sound good.

            but, in the ntopng github repo I see some recent activity that does look encouraging...

              Kind of a shame that the port has been deprecated due to it being broken for so long. I wonder if anyone has released a custom port that we could use to update the old version, or maybe someone here has figured out a way to upgrade ntopng v.1.2.1 (r8205) that is available on pfsense packages?

                Not only that, but a maintainer wants to complete it, but needs some help.
                I'm not at all used to compiling/bsd, so i can't really do anything helpful.
