      So,

The first thing I want to do with my pfSense-box is adblocking.
Should I use pfBlocker or something else?

I subscribe to https://www.iblocklist.com/lists.php. How can I incorporate this into my box?

If this is in the wrong place (subforum), please move it…

pfBlocker or squidguard + squid.  Or just run a decent client-side blocker.

Note that ad blocking will break certain sites.  IMHO it's easier to do it at the browser level so you can exempt certain sites that stop working as a result.  I just recently started using Adblock Plus.  It's OpenSource so you can peruse the code and compile your own if you've got the right tinfoil hat.

I prefer this - much much faster than ABP; doesn't eat RAM for lunch plus doesn't fill the Chrome history with stupid duplicates.

Chrome is a Google product.  …(adjusts foil hat and adds another layer or two)...

I can't feed the ad giant my data!

So most of you recommend that I do adblocking on a browserlevel (Layer 6/7)?

I was hoping i could get some adblocking on my non rooted android devices "out of the (pfSense) box"?
I don't care about broken websites, yet!
