We've had this issue since upgrading to 2.2.2. Our quality graphs are behaving weirdly when we set an alternate monitor IP. They'll report correctly for a while, but then after what seems like a random amount of time, the monitor IP will revert to something…maybe the external IP of our DSL modem...not sure. But the ping time is under 5ms.

For example, see my attachment. I've set the monitor IP for our DSL connection to the next hop. It works fine for a while by reporting a normal 35-40ms, but then you can see it spikes for some reason, then reverts back to some other monitor IP around ~1:30am and is showing a last ping of 2.99ms, which is impossible for the monitor IP I've set.

      Ideas?

Kindly search the forum; apinger is crap - no fix until rewrite from scratch.

Bug #4081 covers this issue. Apparently apinger will be replaced in 2.3 according to the last comment. But it's a known issue for the time being.
